Too much of a good thing? I think not. Quite honestly though "too much of a good thing" was the first thing that ran through my mind when the waiter set this amazing steak in front of me at MIX in Las Vegas. Could I have possibly met my match when it comes to indulgent foods? Wasting no time at all, I reached for the knife and a fork and began to dig in.

As an avid foodie and someone that spends a lot of time watching cooking shows or reading about food, I had heard about 00 flour and how it could make an ordinary pizza taste fantastic. I was a bit skeptical, I had been making my pizza with all purpose flour or bread flour for years and always liked the result. 00 flour is from Italy and definitely not an easy ingredient for the average shopper to find. You have to order it online or in my case be in one my favorite specialty food shops to find it.
Have you tried a "cake pop" from TheDippShop.com yet? To me, cake pops are more than a trend. They are cake reinvented. How me times have you been at a party and turned down cake simply because there was no forks or utensils to eat it whith? With the cake pop form TheDippShop.com this tragic experience will never have to be relived... All because with the cake pop, your cake is on a stick.

It's called the "Smasher Pump Action Potato Masher" and you can purchase it in the "Chef's Section" at obaz.com. I've lost track of the amount of potato mashers that have come and gone through my kitchen. Most of them were flimsy, broke down, or did a very poor job of mashing in general. The spring loaded Acton on the Smasher Pump Action Potato Masher from obaz.com blows them all out of the water.

Stuffing. Dressing. Whatever you call it, it's one of my favorite things about Thanksgiving. Moving forward I will refer to it as "stuffing" as that is how we always referred to it in our house. There are so many ways to make this amazing dish. So many combinations of flavors, meats, breads, seasonings you name it you can make stuffing out of it.

Every now and then we are sent a "rub" that blows us away. THIS is one of those rubs. It's called "Chef Bobby Buzz's Espresso Rub". It also comes in decaf (seriously!). It works great on steaks, burgers (mix about 1 tablespoon to 1 lb ground meat), chicken, seafood and even popcorn (one of my favorites). Its a mix of espresso, spices, garlic, chili peppers and more.

I've recently professed my love for grocery stores of years past. The smaller, hometown grocery stores with real personality that stocked quality ingredients and took pride in what they sold. For being a chain, BI-Rite encompasses all of these things.

We review Crystal Head Vodka, the same vodka that is being promoted by Dan Aykroyd of Ghostbusters fame. This a vodka that plays on the mystery of the "Crystal Skulls" or "Crystal Heads" - Which are often claimed to exhibit paranormal phenomena.

This little... or... rather large gadget is called the Automatic Chef. Its an open flame grill rack that rotates over flames or a campfire. We tried it with hot dogs a few nights ago and loved it. Great even cooking, and a great way to get the "burned dogs" without roasting your hands at the same time.

Basic to Brilliant, Y'all by Virginia Willis. A great book filled with southern recipes given an amazing "kick" of Virginia's creativity and style. She takes southern staples and brings them to a whole new level with out compromising their integrity or flavor. Its also refreshing to see a southern cookbook that does not rely strictly on 'butter' to make everything better.

We review a new kitchen toy called the "Volcano Vaporizer". It's one of those new un-charted concepts in kitchen technology where new uses are discovered every day. We use it to infuse vodka with lemongrass and basil. Here are some other ideas for drinks that can be made using the Volcano Vaporizer.
