This has to be one of the easiest oven roast recipes I’ve ever tried! It works perfectly with delicious all natural meats from Heartland Home Foods! So how do you make the easiest oven roast in the road? Here is the recipe:
1) Preheat the oven to 500 degrees then Season the roast with salt & pepper.
2) Place the roast on baking dish lined with carrots, onion, garlic and celery as a “grate” and put in oven and reduce the heat to 475. Cook for seven mins per lb. depending on the size of the roast. Then turn the oven OFF.
3) Let the roast sit in the oven keeping the door CLOSED for 2 1/2 hours. This will still help cook the roast slowly without super high heat. Resist the temptation to smell and poke the roast, its cooking and needs the heat to stay IN the oven.
4) Remove from oven, slice and serve with drippings from pan.
