I found a new outdoor cooking tool that may make by grill jealous. Honestly, if my grill was my lover, it would all out hate me and probably end our relationship in a Jerry Springer like brawl. My new love is called “The Southwest Disk”.
It is otherwise known as a: Discada – (Spanish for cooking in an agricultural disk) is the Southwest’s version of the wok which is an agricultural plow disk that yields spectacular flavors. People have been using the Discada or Disco ever since the disk plow was around and it’s been a secret of the Southwest for a long time. The results I’ve been getting from The Southwest Disk have blown me away.
I’ll be featuring more recipes using The Southwest Disk on future shows, to get us started though – I had a night of sweet and spicy dungeness crab legs. Watch the video to see how I did it!
